Abstract

|
Fibrofolliculoma is a rare benign follicular neoplasm in pilar complex, histopathologically characterized by
hyperplastic follicular infundibulum with a central keratinous plug, and anastomosing strands of basaloid cells
branching into dense surrounding stroma. Fibrofolliculoma is benign skin tumor with the following features,
multiple growths, autosomal inheritance, and associated skin lesions, while solitary form with identical clinical and
microscopic features are relatively rare and nonhereditary. We report on a 41-year-old man with a solitary, bean
sized mass on his left tragus which histopathologically shows a typical fibrofolliculoma.
